With many offices closing to prevent the spread of COVID-19, more and more employees are working remotely. This has made VPNs a ripe target for cyber attacks. It is important for VPN infrastructure to be kept patched and updated, in addition to the devices employees use to remote in.
There is likely to be an increase in COVID-19 related phishing campaigns as well. Check Point has reported 4000 new COVID-19 related domains created since January, with 8% being either suspicious or malicious. Malicious domains are likely to be used as a part of a phishing campaign.
